Easy fitment and a lamb roast thanks to Truckline & Meritor promotion
Truckline gladly handed over a Webber Family Q BBQ last week to owner/driver Shane Holmes of Holmes Haulage QLD. Shane was awarded the BBQ as part of a promotion ran by Truckline in conjunction with Meritor. All customers who purchased a Meritor Fastset No-Ream King Pin Kit and registered their details online during the competition period were eligible.
Shane runs two Kenworths and said the Fastset No-Ream King Pin Kit certainly makes his life easier.
“No ream pins means easy fitment requiring no reamer,” he explained, adding that he was pretty surprised to win the prize, “All I did was buy some parts to keep my truck going. It’s what we do. As an owner/driver you’ve got to keep your gear going.”
Shane is based on the Gold Coast however he’s frequently in Brisbane as part of his regular Brisbane – Sydney run. If he needs parts when he’s there he always heads to Truckline Rocklea.
“I’ve always had good help at Truckline attaining parts for my old truck. I really appreciate promotions like this that give back to the customers,” he said.
Truckline Rocklea branch manager David Coppock was thrilled to be sending the BBQ off with Shane.
“I reckon the BBQ is going to a great home,” said David.
“We get a range of customers like Shane coming in with different requirements, whether it’s an older truck, a complex job or a quick fix. Fortunately, Truckline has one of the best ranges in the industry, with access to over 77,000 aftermarket truck and trailer parts for American, European and Japanese trucks, so we can solve all sorts of problems to keep our customers moving,” said David.
Like many, Shane finds the current level of regulation in the industry challenging, but he always finds the positive in his job.
“I like the freedom of being on the road. The view out the office window changes all the time,” he said, adding that he’s cooked a roast on the BBQ already.
